Create Adventure outlines, seeds, and events for any RPG, in advance or on the spot!

The Adventure Crafter adds to the Crafter series of Game Master tools a system for randomly generating an unfolding story that you can use as the framework for a custom built adventure or for solo role-play.

Using a system of randomly generated story tropes, combined with Character and Storyline management and creative interpretation, the Adventure Crafter can create the structure for an entire adventure, the idea for an adventure that you can develop, an opening scene to an adventure to get you started, or it can be used as a tool to generate inspiration and ideas for your own adventures.

Unlimited worlds of adventure await!

Welcome to The Adventure Crafter, the third book in the Crafter series by Word Mill Games! The Adventure Crafter presents a system for randomly generating story outlines, adventure seeds, random events, and plot twists for your role playing gaming pleasure.

Although The Adventure Crafter plugs in nicely with the Mythic line from Word Mill Games, it can be used with any RPG system. The Adventure Crafter isn’t about the system but the Adventure.

PLOT POINTS & TURNING POINTS
A Plot Point is the basic building block of everything that happens in The Adventure Crafter. Plot Points are discreet story units that offer a point of detail that will go into the stew that is your Adventure. Some Plot Points are instructional, such as telling you to add a new Character to the Adventure, and some sound like story tropes, like “Betrayed!” or “Something Lost Has Been Found.” Anywhere from two to five Plot Points are combined to form Turning Points, the pivotal scenes in your adventure that propel it forward.

THE ADVENTURE CRAFTER AT YOUR TABLE
The Adventure Crafter can be used a number of ways, including:
• Creating adventure outlines, where you can focus on adding in details.
• Whipping up adventure seeds to start new games.
• As an alternative way to make the first Scene in a Mythic adventure.
• Use it as you play, to help generate the adventure on the fly.
• As an idea generator when coming up with your own adventures, but are stuck for a new twist
• As a narrative generator and inspiration tool for fiction writing
